For more than two decades, The Communications Workshop, LLC has been a leader in aviation emergency response staff development training, ERP planning, and on-site accident management, assistance and consultation. Our objective is simple; to get you and your staff prepared in the event the unthinkable happens. We also provide extensive media prep and internal communications training as well as web development and marketing/training video production services.

Our Mission


Show me a flight operation that communicates well internally and I will show you one that is either extremely lucky or one that has had quality training. In my 30 years in business, I have yet to see one flight department that communicates internally as well as it should. We are pilots, mechanics, dispatchers, schedulers, flight instructors, fuelers, flight engineers, crew chiefs, flight attendants and while there is little we don't know about flight operations, there may be much we don't know about how to communicate well. And, what we don't know really can hurt us! Poor communications leads to a degraded safety culture which leads to a less safe flight environment which leads to a higher risk of accidents.

That's what this program is all about -- identifying communications problems inherent in typical flight operations, learning how to overcome them, and putting in place an effective and efficient internal communications process throughout the entire organization.

We will do a comprehensive audit of your current organizational communications using focus groups, one-on-one conversations, and surveys, evaluate where you are and where you need to go, develop a simple but detailed communications plan to meet your organizational needs, and provide comprehensive staff development training to ensure that everyone is on board and understands what effective communications is all about and why it is to important.
